Note: Charlotte (obwohl sie eigentlich Medizin studieren wollte, was aber aufgrund der finanziellen Situation nicht ging) mußte sich nach der Handelsschule eine Stellung suchen. Sie ging erst in ein Anzeigenbüro "wo nicht viel zu tun war". Da sie zu de r Zeit aber erheblich unterernährt war und dauernd in Ohnmacht viel, wurde vom Arzt geraten die Stellung dort wieder beenden und lieber eine Anstellung auf dem Land anzustreben.

Note: Die ganze Familie beratschlagte und Schwester Else erinnerte sich einer guten Freundin Grete Süßmann, jetzt Leskin (hatte einen Molkereidirektor geheiratet). Grett hatte einen Handarbeitsladen in der kleinen Stadt Schwiebus aufgemacht und konnte sie dort sehr gut gebrauchen. Grete war eine gute Malerin, zeichnete viel und hatte sich auf das Entwerfen von Handarbeiten spezialisiert.

Die ganze Familie beratschlagte und Schwester Else erinnerte sich einer guten Freundin Grete Süßmann, jetzt Leskin (hatte einen Molkereidirektor geheiratet). Grett hatte einen Handarbeitsladen in der kleinen Stadt Schwiebus aufgemacht und konnte sie dort sehr gut gebrauchen. Grete war eine gute Malerin, zeichnete viel und hatte sich auf das Entwerfen von Handarbeiten spezialisiert.
Charlotte kümmerte sich anfangs um die drei Kinder, wurde dann aber häufig im Laden eingesetzt. Wolle aussuchen, Stickgarne und vorgezeichnete Decken und später eigenes Entwerfen von Mustern für Kunden.
Charlotte ging dann im Sommer (1923?) wieder zurück nach Breslau.
