Wolfgang Vinzenz Baron Manner von Mätzelsdorf was an Austrian Imperial Hofrat (Court Councellor) and Governor of the region Brunn (now Brno, Czech Republic) awarded with orders such as the Leopold Order and others. The son, Wolfgang Raimund became Austrian Imperial Judge in Moravia (now Czech Republic). All three paintings come from Castle Wuernitz in Lower Austria, which is the family castle of Mannagetta-Lerchenau. Literature: "Die Wappen des Maehrischen Adels", Neustadt an der Aisch, 1979, pages 75-76 and "Oesterreichische National.Enzyklopaedie", Wien 1835, pages 550-551.
